Resource Hungry Programs

The main reason for a slow computer or tablet can be some resource-hungry programs. If your computer is running slowly, you have to check the resources of your CPU. An application may experience a memory leak or have used maximum memory. It can cause your PC to switch a disk. 

If you want to check if an application is using lots of data, you have to open the “Task Manager” of your computer. Right-click on the taskbar and choose a “Task Manager” or press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open task manager. On Windows 8 and 10, the task manager provides one upgraded interface. 

You can see color-codes apps. It indicates that these apps are using lots of resources. If an app is using extra resources, you can close it normally. Make sure to choose “End Task” to force close.

Close Programs in System Tray

Several applications run in the notification area or system tray. These apps launch at the start and keep running in the background. In numerous cases, these may remain hidden behind one arrow icon at the base of your screen. 

Choose the arrow icon near your system tray and right-tap an application that you don’t want to run in the background. Close this app to free up some resources. 

Disable Programs in Startup

You have to prevent applications at startup from launching to save CPU cycles and memory. It will speed up a login procedure. On Windows 10 and 8, you can get task manager in the taskbar. Tap on the startup tab and deactivate startup apps that you don’t need. Windows may help you to deal with slow apps and programs.

Decrease Animations

Animations can make your PC slower; therefore, you must not use them. If you want to disable them, press “Windows Key + X” and right-tap a “Start” button. Choose “System” and tap on advanced settings. You can check to adjust the visual effects in this section. 

Lighten a Web Browser

If you are using your web browser frequently, your browser can be slow. Make sure to use limited add-ons or extensions for a slow browser. It is essential to keep essential add-ons and plugins only.
